Hi, so I'm trying to write a mostly non-biased research paper (about 15 pages in length) about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. However, forming a research question has become a major challenge for me. I know the history relatively well of the conflict, I just am having trouble with limiting down this extensive topic down to a single question. Right now, I've been considering the U.S. two state solution and its feasibility or How do Israel’s relations with Palestine influence its political reputation? But I'm not 100% on either of those topics. If anyone has any suggestions for a topic to go into further depth into (while still in the overall Israel-Palestinian theme) it'd be highly appreciated! thanks!

btw, I'm in IB (international baccalaureate) and this is for the required Extended Essay.

Okay here's a few I've come up with...

How have the different generations of Israelis and Palestinians been affected by the conflict?

What influence does music and the media have on the Israel-Palestine conflict and to what extent are they inaccurate/biased?

To what extent have Israel's actions affected it's international image and relations with other countries and how far has the media played a role in this?

What influence do children have on the Israel-Palestine conflict and how have they suffered and benefited from it?

How has sustainable development in Israel and the Palestinian Territories been affected by the conflict and what internal and external factors have influenced its improvement/hinder?

How has the widespread popularity of religious and political extremism changed along the timescale of the Israel-Palestine conflict and what external and internal factors have influenced this?

Non biased? (Especially on Yahoo Answers? )

Good luck with that.

Regarding your two possible topics, here are my own thoughts.

- The two state solution is the only solution that Israel will agree to or even SHOULD agree to (in theory) aside from the status quo. With that said, a two state solution, if executed today or even within a few years will NOT result in peace. A good basis for your essay would be to explore why.

- Israel's international standing has little to do with what Israel actually does though some may make it out to be like that.

First: There is no such thing as " MOSTLY UNBIASED" report. Or it is biased, or not.

2nd: I would recommend essay subject:

"How International Aid affects Israeli-Palestinian conflict?"

I think you can easily continue with PhD on this subject.

Because this aid from both Muslim world and the West, makes Palestinians standards of living higher, than the living standards in the other Arab states. This aid keeps conflict alive.

In short.....the Palestinians ,the Arabs must know that peace efforts is a waist of time ......It is either Palestine from the river to the sea.....or......israel is from the river to the river.......

Your dissertation should be about the impact of Imperialism.
