Well this is how these people deal with those whom they do not like; as Ive said before, Jews subordinate principle to Jewish interests. Democracy, free speech and such are only good as long as they do not conflict with Jewish interests and goals.

Its not just barring people from Israel, the organized Jewish community is far worse in our nations.

Norman Finklestein is banned from israel probable by way of fact he speaks brazenly and definitely approximately israeli's strikes and freedom of speech isn't component of israel's fee as that is interior the U. S.. The israeli government denies (what a marvel) what Norman Finklestein says, that are data. It probable annoys them extra by way of undeniable fact that he's a jew. I observed him communicate a pair of weeks in the past at Harvard college and he's a nicely spoken and impartial guy. you're able to tell who the zionists have been interior the objective marketplace by way of fact a lot of them saved making faces and appeared annoyed, looking away or down and a few even left throughout his lecture that's impolite. They knew the place he stands interior the conflict so i do no longer understand why they went. additionally Norman Finklestein does not deny the Holocaust. His very own dad and mom have been victims of the Holocaust.

They both are banned for security reasons. Neither is Israeli and Finklestein has written negatively about the Holocaust and Israel has Holocaust survivors who live there.

Both openly support groups the Israeli government consider terrorist groups.

The US does not (at least on paper) allow in Al-Queda members and I believe in the 90s some IRA people were basically "blocked at the door" and put back on planes. The westboro baptist church is barred for security reasons as well (well, that and the fact that they are idiots) in both Israel and the UK (they are Americans so America can't ban them, sadly)

I believe several European countries have barred people.

Openly supporting terrorist groups is not a good.

By the way, Israel actually donates many things to "palestine" and "palestinians" can often get free medical care in Israel (for anything from tonsils to terminal diseases)

So when did you visit Israel or "palestine" to have this be a personal problem for you?

And please explain to us how banning someone from a country is in violation of "free speech"?

And if so, do you also include Canada in that? (Initially banned Galloway, later lifted.)

And do you include Britain in that? (Initially banned Geert Wilders, whose ban was supported by none other than Galloway.)

Update:

For the record, Galloway was recently denied entry into...

Egypt.

There is complete freedom of speech in Israel as long as the truth is never mentioned. The Israeli government can make any statement or any ruling against anyone.

To paraphrase Ambassador L. Gore, "It's their party, and they'll lie if the want to."

Notice the attractive women in the background whipping around the Israeli flag as though it were a cheap dish rag. I hope no one takes that as an act of anti-Semitism. I think the dark haired girl is Jewish so no insult is meant by posting this controversial video.

This is real footage and is not a Pallywood production. Notice 3.74 million people viewed this video and agree with my point.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XsYJyVEUaC4

By the way, the video is from 1965, so Israel was planning its attack on Egypt while this video was being created.

Because there is no real freedom of speech in Israel. It's democracy is a sham. Israel is an apartheid state.

Of course the zionist schmucks here will disagree, LOL.

Because both have expressed support for Hamas and Hezbollah. Galloway has funded Hamas, and Finklestein was suspected by Shin Bet of having met with Hezbollah members in Lebanon.

And if either enters Israel, it'll only be to troll and try to make mischief. Especially Galloway. Finklestein, by the way, only got a 10-year ban.

I wonder, in fact, why Galloway has not been arrested for supporting a terrorist organization.

Norman Finklestein was not allowed due to "security reasons". Of course, I know nothing more about that, because nothing more has been released; however, I can speculate as to some other things. Especially if the Israeli authorities have reason to believe that Finklestein has aided their enemies in a manner that doesn't sit well with them. For all we know, they could have intel that suggests great security problems would be caused by Finklestein against Israeli citizens, but not enough to arrest him or accuse him.

In any case, "him Jewish whose parents were victims of the Holocaust" (sic, and lol) doesn't earn him any pity. He's the son of, NOT one of. And, yes, Holocaust victims and their descendents can and will get on him if he tries to use it as a shield. Israel could deny the son or daughter of any Holocaust victim under circumstances: For example, he or she decided to mass murder hundreds, no one will care about that "Holocaust victim's child" label.

Well, Israel doesn't believe in the merit of Galloway. Besides, they aren't giving special treatment on the issue. I'm sure that his convoy was one of those where they offered to screen it and deliver it themselves, and if aiding the Palestinians was his #1 goal, then he'd take it. But it wasn't. I don't know much about Galloway, except my perception of him is that he's a raging douche, and according to my (non-Jewish and not notably pro-Israel) friend that's not a bad assumption to make.

In any case, a country has the right do deny whomever. Israel does only deny those based on certain laws. At least they aren't many multitudes of nations that deny more than they allow.

Edit: Galloway's personality is a non-issue here. It makes do difference.... and don't pretend like that's my reasoning. If by "sympathy seeker" you mean his parents, I'm also saying that's irrelevant to him as an individual. I don't know why Israel sees him as a "security threat", so I can't pass judgement. But, whether or not he's seeking sympathy isn't the reason Israel banned him, and you know that.

If that's what you seriously got out of my answer, then I suggest improving your critical reading skills.

Btw, Israel let's in tons of people who criticize it. In addition, those who criticize it internally aren't harshly treated, despite popular belief.

First of all, I don't even know if that's true. But secondly, Finkelstein is American, and Galloway is British. As far as I know, neither has Israeli citizenship, so if Israel does not want to let them in, they have every right not to. Free speech is not taken away from Israeli citizens, however that does not mean that any crazy nut will be allowed entry.

Do you think that America will allow Al Qaeda members to enter because afterall, it is the land of free speech?

@Michael: After just a quick search, I found that Vlad is correct. Finkelstein is suspected of meeting with Hezbollah as well as having contact with Al Qaeda. http://www.straight.com/article-147467/jewish-scholar-norman-finkelstein-banned-israel And besides, what old news! It happened in 2008!

Galloway has given aid to both Hamas and Hezbollah, was on friendly terms with Saddam Hussein's son and other Iraqi officials in the 1990s, and the charity he supports that is supposedly for the purpose of helping poor Palestinians has been investigated multiple times because what they really do is funnel money into the Hamas terrorist organization. http://www.adl.org/main_Anti_Israel/galloway_us_tour_09.htm?Multi_page_sections=sHeading_5

If that's not reason enough, I don't know what is!!

The bbDog ,whose claim to fame is as the top verbal assassin of the truth is at it again, hogging this site for dear life and blowing a gasket again.

He cannot get it out of his head that Israel is a free independent country, that booted the old Empire out and taught the UK and englishmen a lesson that irks this dog more than fleas.

The British jackboot may have used 120,000 useless"tommie's" to keep the rightful Hebrew owners of Israel out of their home, but these days the boot is on the other foot.

Israel can ,and does exercise full power over whom it allows in to Eretz Yisra'el.

Scum are not welcome ,to defile the Holy Land.

The two individuals your heart bleeds for, are enemies of Israel and of the people of Israel.

One must be deaf and blind to the truth not to be aware of these individuals and what they stand for.

Obviously you have a soft spot for any one who wishes Israel and the Jewish people harm.

Therefore you may not understand that a free country does not have to kowtow to anybody-least of all an enemy.

As fore bearing and tolerant Israeli's are, I would also not be prepared to guarantee the safety of these two notorious Jew/Israel haters, should they set foot in in the Land they wish to destroy.Jews are not cowed by Nazi's and those spewing hatred and destruction.

As a well read supporter of Israel has pointed out, Geert Wilders , leader of one of the Netherlands leading political parties( and numerous Irish nationalists,)have not been free to enjoy England's foul weather.

It is also a sign of how very low and common, England has fallen ,that a vituperative hate filled racist like Galloway could be elected to their House of Commons.

I don't know that Galloway has been banned from Israel.

But, if he has "his crime" is probably not "organizing a convoy of supplies."

Just google Galloway Israel and you can see that he has a long history of inciting hatred and violence against Israel.

'Jerusalem raped by foreigners'

(VIDEO) British Parliament Member George Galloway calls for action against Israel while praising jihad attacks on coalition forces in Iraq; says United States and Britain are ' terrorists'

Call to violence? - (Video) British Member of Parliament George Galloway has described Jerusalem as being "raped" by foreigners, in a series of speeches delivered on Arab television.

Galloway is leader of the Respect Party, an anti-Iraq war political party based on an alliance between Britain's Socialist Workers Party and the British branch of the Muslim Brotherhood.

The broadcasts, which were translated by the Middle East Media Research Institute, will likely present a challenge to British prime minister Tony Blair, who has vowed to crack down on overt incitement to terrorism in Britain and abroad. Galloway said that Jerusalem and Baghdad were "crying out for help," before praising Iraqi jihad fighters, saying they were "defending the whole Arab world."

http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3122173,00.html

Galloway has long been a bitter critic of Israel. He accepted an honorary Palestinian passport from Hamas prime minister Ismail Haniyeh three years ago — after organizing aid trips to Gaza — but was later banned from Egypt. He has reportedly described Jerusalem and Baghdad as being “raped” by “foreigners,” claimed Zionists control the British media, and blamed Israel for the assassination of Lebanese prime minister Rafiq al-Hariri.

NB: ** The UN investigated and found that Hezbollah assassinated Rafiq Al-Hariri.

During a notorious visit to Iraq in 1994, Galloway was filmed telling Hussein, “Sir, I salute your courage, your strength, your indefatigability.”

On May 23, 2008 Finkelstein was denied entry to Israel, according to unnamed Shin Bet security officials, because "of suspicions involving hostile elements in Lebanon" and that he "did not give a full accounting to interrogators with regard to these suspicions." Finkelstein had previously visited south Lebanon and met with Lebanese families during the 2006 Lebanon War.[59] He was banned from entering Israel for 10 years.[60][61] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norman_Finkelstein#Denied_entry_to_Israel_in_2008

1. They are not citizens of Israel, free speech laws apply to the citizens or residents of the country. They were expressing their views outside of Israel.

2. They were not prosecuted - they are just declared unwanted. Any country has the right to declare any foreign national they choose as unwanted, for any reason, including if they just don't like him.

3. Their writings are not banned, and anyone can read or buy them.

As usual, you have absolutely no interest in truth of fact, only in the spewing of hate.

No qualms whatsoever about lying though your teeth.
