I recomend hiking up Masada and then while you are in the area go to the dead sea. The dead sea is dying (how ironic) so catch it while you can. Personally I loved Hafia.

I am from Haifa and love it there. There are so many cheap and nice resorts and free beaches in Eliat. You could visit the Ahavah spa and it is not so expensive compared to US spas. I love Tel Aviv visit Old Yaffo near this big clock tower there is an amazing bread store Abu (something I forgot). The best food is in Israel and you will have an amazing time. If you take the bus make sure you make eye contact with every one and pay attention.

u should go to eilat, herzylia, tel aviv, the dead sea- those are all not necesarily hikes- another place you'd probably find amazing is the golan- up north- take a rod trip!! theres no shortaage of great things to do in israel!! :)

i just got back 3 days ago, tel aviv is good, golan area is beautiful, galille area also very good, eilat very hot and great fun, haifa is cool, so much beyond jerusalem to do and see

go to eilat or the dead sea- its BEAUTIFUL down there, and TONS of fun!! the golan is also gorgeous...

you should try some of the israeli hikes- they're pretty challenging (not to mention reeeally dangerous...), but they're part of the experience!!!

and dont forget to come to jerusalem- it ROCKS!!!

there are tons of things to do here, so don't worry- you won't be bored!!
