Question:
If the UN hadn't given Palestine as the homeland for the Jews...?

Then how would Palestine/Israel have been now? The Jews wouldn't have been flown in from Russia or Europe or Morroco to inhabit the Israeli part of Palestine.

I don't know, the Jews always say the land belongs to them and it's theirs, well, if the UN hadn't given you the land, would you still think the same?

So, who would have populated what is now Israel hadn't the UN/Britain given the land to Jews?

I just wonder if you undersand that the decision of the UN saved Arabs skin.

Maybe you know that before the UN decision, Jews and Arabs were already fighting in Palestine for more than 10 years. The start was given by the pogrom Arabs made in Hebron, but until the 40s, the war was what is called now "low profile": the Jews who lived in Palestine were in their majority quite peaceful immigrants whose combat experience was not superior to the Arab one, and the civil war between Jews and Arabs was a draw: we were much smaller in number and not strong enough to make you accept us as equals in Palestine, and you, although you vastly outnumbered us, were not able to give us the decisive blow and throw us out .

The situation changed in the 40s, when the main body of the Jewish immigrants became those Jews who fought in the ranks of the Russian, American and British Armies. And they fought not against some pathetic Hamas or miserable Hezbollah, but against the German Army. These people had such a combat experience you the Arabs whose part in the WWII was limited by serving coffee to the german and then british soldiers could not even dream of. Another part of the Jewish immigrants of the 40s were those Jews who passed through the German concentration camps and by a miracle stayed alive. They passed through hell , they were determined not to let this hell happen to them and their chldren - and were quite ready to kill anyone who would try to let this hell happen to them again.

They were badly armed, but in the after - war Middle East getting arms was not a serious problem. And in knowing how to use these arms, you the Arabs were not a match to these desperate and well-trained people.

In a very short time, the situation changed; these Jewish immigrants started to beat the Arabs up and to actually push the Arab immigrants out of Palestine. You must also understand that the Jews had nowhere to go, while Arabs knew that they could always return to their native countries: Egypt. Lebanon, Lybia, Syria...

If not for the decision of the UN, we should push you out completely and create the Jewish state on ALL the territory of Palestine, with the decision of the UN- or without it.

Thank the UN in your prayings day and night: without it, you would run back to Egypt, Lebanon and other Arab countries you came from - and would not dare even to look back. And the question about your "state" in Palestine would never even appear on the international agenda.

"UN hadn't given you the land" He is correct UN recognizes not gives the land.

Without UN Recognition the Jews probably would have gotten the land other ways.

Had it not been by UN. or British Mandate, Israel could have been 75% larger (Jordan territory) -- so you should be happy as the outcome became more favorable to you. Zionism happened in late 1800s UN Partion 1948 -- you have to account for that time.

Now if you asked hypothetical question about what would happen if there was no Zionist movement, then the true response might have been more to your likings.

"I don't know, the Jews always say the land belongs to them and it's theirs, well, if the UN hadn't given you the land, would you still think the same?"

this statement makes as much sense as: I don't know, the Muslims claims 99% of Middle East is Muslim, If Britain and France didn't give independence to most of Middle Eastern territory, would you still have Jordan, Syria, Egypt, Lebanon, Many of African nations... ?

Have your examine Mark Twain's feedback on his bypass to to Palestine? how many Moslems have been living in Gaza in his day? There have almost continually been some Jews in Israel. For the Arabs, Palestine is not extra holy than Jordan or Egypt. how many circumstances is it stated interior the Koran? Jews have lived there with few interruptions, those casued by potential of Christians who killed each and every of the Jews in Jerusalem and different cities throughout the time of the 1st campaign. as quickly as the Moslems took over, Jews back. Jews have been chuffed to purchase food and different products from Moslems. As extra Jews lived interior the land, extra Arabs migrated to it to earn their earnings imparting Jews with those. The Zionists got here in peace with money and acquired land from whoever owned it. They on no account threw everyone out of Israel/Palestine. They on no account attacked with out provocation. in case you tell me that the mere presence of a Jew is provocation, then you definately're a Nazi. They drained the swaps, destroyed the ailment-donning mosquitos, and outfitted farms. They even bypass so a techniques as retaining the deset from over-grazing and made the land turn green. They outfitted hothouses and introduced in irrigation. additionally they opened their hospitals and clinics to Arabs. A left-wing Orthodox Rabbi insisted that Arabs from surrounding villages be taken care of in his community's hospital. It replaced into bombed by potential of Arabs who did not go with different Arabs to stay in peace with Jews. maximum human beings, seventy 8% of Palestine replaced into taken by potential of the British and made into Trans-Jordan. the human beings who stay there are Palestinian. it rather is their united states. Israel gave citizenship and finished rights to the Palestinians who did not flee in 1948. Others chosen to bypass away. take a seem at what Jordan did to them in "Black September". take a seem at what they did to Lebanon whilst they controlled it. Why did Kuwait kick all Paleastinians out? Why are they not welcome in Saudi Arabia? Israel did not reason the conflct by potential of any reason different than being there. the comparable ought to be mentioned approximately Spain. whilst the Moslems are complete with Israel, they'll start to reconquer Spain, a territory that belongs to them yet they have been thrown out by potential of the Spanish and French Crusaders.

If the Jewish colonists hadn't invaded Palestine, then Palestine today would be no different to a modern, wealthy and cultured country like Lebanon.

Never forget that Palestinians have the highest literacy rate and highest proportion of university graduates in the whole Arab world and Middle East, even though they are arguably the poorest of all Arab and Middle Eastern peoples because of the attacks by the Jews.

Palestinians are also not that extreme, and many are very liberal. 25-30% of Palestinians are Christians too.

If the Jews hadn't conquered Palestine then it would have been so amazing, and would have been just like Lebanon just without the wars.

The UN didn't give "Palestine" as a homeland for the Jews, they recognized the Jewish homeland. Israel's rightful existence would have begun one way or another.

Yes - lets think about what would happen if israel wasnt around ...

well for starters - the pc you are using - the one with the intel pentium chip and the windows software ..

oh - and your 3g mobile phone with the camera ...

well - that would most likely not be in existance - or at least would be several years away without israels dedicated research ...

so without us horrible evil russian european israeli jews - you wouldnt even have a voice right now !!!!!!

think about it- and if you feel that strongly about israel - feel free to turn off your pc and throw away your mobile ...

oh - and next time you need that life saving medicine - ask where its from - chances are it was made in israel... and if you are in the uk - the avacodos and grapefruit you eat - or the plastic bin you throw your rubbish in - made in israel most likely ..

compare what israel has done in 60 years of war and conflict to what the likes of iran and other arab countries have ...

one gives life saving treatment and technological advancements - the other shariah law and terrorists

think really carefull before you go condemming israel ... and as for who would have populated it - most likely more undesirables from surrounding arab lands - and if they had - most likely it would still be a third world desert

The U.N did not establish Israel as the Jewish homeland. Israel had always been the Jewish homeland (look at the bible!), and Jews have had a continuous presence in Israel for over 3,000 years.

The name Palestine was given to Israel by the Romans who wanted to obliterate the connection between the Jews and their homeland.

Arabs rejected the United Nations resolution of November 29, 1947 calling for the establishment of two states in Palestine, with an all out war to eliminate Jews enacted by the Arab world. After the 1967 War -- another war of Arab aggression -- Israel recovered a small remnant (13% in whole) of what was promised to them by the UN -- eventually handing back the Sinai Desert for peace with Egypt in 1977.

Between 1948-1967, Jordan and Egypt, who governed the West Bank and Gaza, respectively, never offered to surrender those lands to form an independent Palestinian state. No Palestinian organization ever sought an independent state. No Arab country had even suggested its existence. An Arab Palestine has never been the name of any nation or state. 'Palestine' was a geographical term used only to identify administrative boundaries within larger empires, nothing more.

The purpose of a separate Palestinian State was defined faultlessly by the late Zoher Moessein, head of PLO bureau of military operation:

"There is no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians and Lebanese; we are all members of the same nation. Solely for political reasons are we careful to stress our identity as Palestinians. Since a separate State of Palestine would be an extra weapon in Arab hands to fight Zionism with. Yes, we do call for the creation of a Palestinian state for tactical reasons. Such a state would be a new means of continuing the battle against Zionism, and for Arab unity."

An offshoot of the occupation myth is the 'refugee' fabrication. It states that a significant portion of the Arab population was driven out of Israel by force during the 1948 War. It makes for good copy, but it's false. Egyptian activist, Edward Said, the most famous of these "refugees," for example, has been exposed as a fraud, as has this revisionist history.

Mark Twain, a man, one would think, as devoid of 'imperialistic Zionist' intentions, wrote in 1867 that Palestine was "a desolate country whose soil is rich enough but is given over wholly to weeds." Yet, Arabs have claimed that over a million refugees were forced from their homes during the 1948 War of Independence -- this number includes Arabs whose relatives entered Israel from 1946 onward. The number of Arab refugees is probably closer to 400,000, most of whom took it upon themselves to flee despite Jewish assurances that they would not be harmed. The contention that Arabs were removed by gunpoint is totally incorrect. Research by the Arab-sponsored Institute for Palestinians Studies in Beirut found that "the majority of the Arab refugees in 1948 were not expelled and 68 percent left without ever seeing an Israeli soldier."

In her meticulously researched book, From Time Immemorial, Joan Peters proves that a roughly equivalent number of Jewish refugees were expelled from Arab nations during the same period -- 120,000 from Iraq alone. It is estimated that one million immigrants were integrated into Israel's society from 1948-1950.

None of them, on the other hand, were confined for life to refugee camps.

Well, it would have been very different because that’s WHY Brittan had the land, they were under a mandate to create a Jewish state. Now they pushed the limits of that mandate because they ended up giving 75% of the land to Arabs, but they HAD to give the Jews something.

The Arabs kicked the Jews off their part of the land, Why can’t the Jews do the same with the Arabs?

Because my government vetoes left right and center every resolution hat’s favorable to the Palestinians, no matter how punitive it is (to tell you the truth I’m really ashamed of that as an American) how do you expect them to get anything when they have to fight against a blind government that has the power and denies them basic human rights. So their dignity is shot and their way of living is almost none existing.

Israel would still be the Jewish homeland. Zionists have been improving the land since the late 1800s when the Zionist movement started.

The arabs would still be sitting in their sand box crying into their glass of camel milk.

UN given...

You seems to me be more Intelligent than other Arabs.

Try to understand, UN GIVES NOTHING.

UN MAY RECOGNIZE.

Now let;s go back in history:

Tel-Aviv was established in 1909 ( Where was UN at this time?)

The Rishon Le ZIon ( translates The First)-first new city was established in 1875. (where was UN at this time?)

Jerusalem has Jewish majority since 1845 ( where was UN at this time?)
