Why the hatred?

Historically, for the most part Jews have always been pacifists. This has allowed them to be an easy target when a failing government needs to point the finger of blame somewhere to deflect attention away themselves. So this probably begun some 2000 years ago.

In order for that government to have the support of its people in killing or making life intolerable for its target, it has to brainwash its population into believing the target deserves the treatment it is getting. So it makes up stories and lies about those people. Eg. the jews killed Jesus, the Jews control the banks or money, the Jews are somehow the ones responsible for the county's woes and failures.

Over generations of people passing down these same lies to their children, these lies have become embedded and the jews became an even easier target. Why wouldnt they choose the Jews, if they never fought back, how convenient for armies and the frustrated populations who are looking for someone to blame and torture.

Now all of a sudden for perhaps the first time in history ( since at least King David's time), the Jews have fought back and the world cannot stand it!Their comfort zone has been turned upside down. Who will they now use as their whipping boy when things get tough. They cant fight them physically anymore, so they increase the spreading of the lies and myths.

You get Muslims who hate the Jews because of the Arab-Israeli conflict. You get Christians who hate the Jews because of the myth that we're somehow responsible for Jesus' death.

Many Christians and Muslims recognize the Holocaust and feel sorry for the Jews due to the immense suffering they've endured for the past millennia.

Rational people recognize the Holocaust but also recognize that most of us weren't alive back then. Rational people however also know that the Holocaust is still a serious event not to be joked with and that an ordinary modern day Jew born in the 90s is no more/less equal than everyone else.

Hate for the Jews is often based on irrationality and a need to scapegoat other problems onto them. The Jews were historically the people without power and wholly different from those around them, and as such were the targets of their hate. Take the Black Plague, for instance: It was common to believe that a Jew was responsible by poisoning the wells, though we know better now. News of missing children often lead to claims that he/she was stolen to bake in Matzah, and even the idea that Jesus' death is utterly the Jews' fault (even the ones living thousands of years afterward) was used to justify a hate. Even when the Jews do nothing wrong, they were believed to always be up to some kind of nefarious deed - like money lending. That was just the Jews taking advantage of a business that kept most Christians of the time away, and in Italy for example the literal other option for many families was rag merchant or peddling. Studies show they didn't charge high interest at that time - they couldn't or risk even more persecution - but still nobles who borrowed just didn't pay them back many a time.

People just simply hated was wasn't like them. Jews had a different religion, culture, and were from a different ethnic group, so they were singled out so many times. It's happened with other peoples too, in many similar forms, and thankfully over time a change in ideology has shown that hating Jews is simply wrong.

Now, many people feel sorry for Jews for various reasons. Many are well aware that they've actually gone through a lot of sh#t, not only then but even today in many areas. Those who are historically minded realize that it's not pretty to look back on a lot of events in Judaism, such as the Holocaust, the Farhud, the pogroms, the Jewish Naqba, and many other events (and that's just the last decade!). There are also those who pay attention to the fact that anti-Semitic (anti-Jewish) hatred is still rather strong. A lot of it might be under the guise of anti-Israel protest, but when many of those things have "kill the Jew" type slogans, you know that there is an element there. Jews are statistically speaking the most likely group to experience certain hate crimes even in America, and this is worse elsewhere in the world. Many Jews have fled ancestral homes dating back thousands of years and even today, a noted worry is present for Jews who are fleeing nations they don't feel safe in anymore.

Non-Jews are jealous of Jews because G-d made Jews perfect and put them on earth as an example to all others of what they should try to be like even though they can never really be like them.

Jews have never done anything wrong in all of history!

(read the line above again, please.)

In fact they saved mankind and all the animals of the world by building a large wooden boat.

If it had not been for the kind Jewish man who built that boat as well as easy and cheap Panamanian registration - the only thing on earth would be rice, fish and seaweed. Sure the Japanese would be happy and look like G-d's angels but what kind of world would that be?

People feel sorry for Jews not because of a decades long, massive, unrelenting, pervasive, bone-crushing, ear drum shattering propaganda campaign as the haters would like you to believe but because it is the only morally correct frame of mind to have and hold.

There would peace in the world and much better TV programming if the good, honest people would just accept the fact that Jews are G-ds angels and to never question them - ever.

Ashkenazi Jews are more successful than any other ethnic group. .2% of the world's population and 20% of Nobel Prizes belong to Jews and I'd bet the vast majority of those are Ashkenazi. Being successful has made Jews an easy scapegoat throughout history. Many people think they're doing better than other groups, because they're more unethical. Then on the other hand you have a lot of people who aren't Jewish, but they're very anti-Muslim so they won't tolerate any criticism of Israel and think we should stand by them no matter what they do. Both sides are complete idiots. The truth is in the middle.

Why do they hate us? I see basically two unrelated reasons that usually blend together in the case of Jews.

The first one is envy as you can see it in the story of Abel and Cain. Jews too often managed to thrive better than the people among whom they were living and this was a source of envy.

The second one is distrust for the stranger. This is more complicated and you can see it in the story of Josef and the Egyptian period. Exodus 1:10 "Come, we must deal shrewdly with them or they will become even more numerous and, if war breaks out, will join our enemies, fight against us and leave the country." As Jews maintained a distinct identity from the people among whom they lived it created this I would dare to say legitimate suspicion.

These are the main permanent reasons. There are also other reasons that popped occasionally, sometimes repeatedly more than one time, such as the need to find a scapegoat for a bad situation. Jews were usually the ideal scapegoat as they had no power to defend themselves so there was no risk involved in accusing them. This was for example the case during the blood libel events. As soon as the false accusations were made illegal and those making them became subject of serious punishment, the blood libel accusations abruptly ended.

There was also an additional special motive in the case of the Christian world. A deep philosophical dilemma which put Christians in the position of having to condemn Judaism for not accepting Jesus. They could not say that Jews are OK because it would have automatically lead to the legitimate question: Well, if his own people did not accepted him, and there is nothing wrong with them, why should we accept him?

I don't think people feel sorry for Jews, over the years I keep seeing them blamed for the Holocaust, or told they should have fought back.

Jews are hated originally because they don't believe that Jesus was the Messiah.

Denying Jesus as God, that puts them on the wrong end of the vast Christian churches who are as adamant at making sure everyone puts their faith in Christ as the Muslims are in putting their faith in Allah. Think the missionaries they send all over the world to achieve this, as disruptive in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries as the Muslims are today to native populations.

The Church used to have much more temporal power than it does today.

And that's the backbone of the separation between Christians and Jews, they refuse to convert, therefore they must be evil.

Another page had several reasons: 1st I'm Southern Baptist...... 1) Wealth....Not all or always wealthy, but many today are hard working, smart, have great ideas..remember Einstein was Jewish......2)Chosen people: Well the Bible says they are...but I don't think folks understand the relationship between the Jewish/Israelites and God...3) Scapegoat(s)...?????? Perhaps in an all white society....4) Deicide: they killed Jesus......Folks obviously have read their Bible...The Sanhedrin of the day felt the good thing they had going (power and $$$$ ) under threat....(Kinda like our congress when we talk about cutting their salaries)......5) Outsiders....don't understand that one.......6) Racial Theory:....Inferior race....You gotta be kidding!........Nearly all the scientist in recent years have been Jewish (remember the atomic bomb the Manhattan Project).......Many of the very best doctors are jewish.......and some of the best looking women in the world are Jewish (I know that has nothing to do with smarts, but I thought I'd rub some noses in that one)...........

No I have never understood the the hatred......

You have to differ between people hating Jews and people who don't agree with Israel's politics/the country of Israel.

People who "hate" any ordinary person just because he/she is a Jew, are ignorant/racist. One may have a bad experience with a single Jew, but a single Jew doesn't represent all. It's same as saying all Muslims would be terrorists.

I personally don't see any reason to feel sorry for any Jew these days just for being a Jew. You can find bad and/or good things which happened to different nations and not to Jews only.

Jews living in foreign countries are/were always a minority and in times of any crisis it's easy to blame a minority for it or at least let them become a target of frustration.

I don't hate Jews and I don't feel sorry for them but disagree strongly with Israel's politics.

Because there are so many more Chinese than Jews. Also they are not the chosen people. Stalin killed 3 times as many as Hitler. Does anyone care or talk about it today. Have any of his henchmen been convicted of crimes after communism finally died in Russia? Two wrongs don't make a right but justice is sometimes very selective.

Jews are hated primarily because they are the "Chosen people of God: They are far from perfect; but they are blessed, with knowledge, understanding, and wisdom in many things; and that creates jealousy and envy among non- Jews. Judiasm is a religion and not a race Christ perfected the law of Judiasm with the Spirit of Love and opened heavens door to whosoever was willing; by suffering, sacrificing his own life for others who did not deserve it; and revealing how a "True Jew" looks and acts

People hate Jews because they hate Israel, due to politics (they think it was stolen from Palestine). Others think they are greedy, or have too much media control.

People feel sorry for them because they are victims of antisemitism, often violent, and they know the 3 reasons in the previous paragraph are not justifications for violence.

today people that have sympathised with the holocaust - and Hollywood has really laid it on thick - have seen another side of the Jewish cause in the recent Gaza genocide, on further inspection (faclitated by the internet) these people have uncovered the master plan of New World Order so they are bound to feel that they have been deceived (conned) ?

Rational people do not hate anyone,

You might find this interesting

"If the statistics are right, the Jews constitute but one quarter of one percent of the human race.

It suggests a nebulous dim puff of stardust lost in the blaze of the Milky Way.

Properly, the Jew ought hardly to be heard of; but he is heard of, has always been heard of.

He is as prominent on the planet as any other people, and his importance is extravagantly out of proportion to the smallness of his bulk.

His contributions to the world's list of great names in literature, science, art, music, finance, medicine and abstruse learning are very out of proportion to the weakness of his numbers.

He has made a marvellous fight in this world in all ages; and has done it with his hands tied behind him.

He could be vain of himself and be excused for it.

The Egyptians, the Babylonians and the Persians rose, filled the planet with sound and splendour; then faded to dream-stuff and passed away: the Greeks and the Romans followed and made a vast noise, and they are gone; other peoples have sprung up and held their torch high for a time but it burned out, and they sit in twilight now, or have vanished.

The Jew saw them all, survived them all, and is now what he always was, exhibiting no decadence, no infirmities of age, no weakening of his parts, no slowing of his energies, and no dulling of his alert and aggressive mind.

All things are mortal but the Jew; all other forces pass, but he remains.

What is the secret of his immortality?"

Jews do not proselytize. Christians and Moslems do and sometimes use force to convince people to convert.

When Jews insisted on retaining their Jewish identity and not converting to more "popular" and modern religions, they created antagonism. People could not comprehend why they insisted on maintaining their Jewish traditions and resented (hated) the Jews for not converting to their religion.

Me personally, I cannot feel sorry for jews. Why should I? I feel more compassion for the Palestinians; the way they've been treated at the hands of the israelis is atrocious; shockingly brutal and cruel.

What get's me more is jews think it's ok to do it because their god gave them the land when in truth it was the british that gave it to them, even though it wasn't britain's to give to anyone in the first place.

jew mentality expressed by David Ben-Gurion. First Prime Minister of Israel, 1948-53/1955-63

“We must use terror, assassination, intimidation, land confiscation, and the cutting of all social services to rid the Galilee of its Arab population."

Now, how can I feel sorry for jews - do you really think they deserve anyone's sympathy? Only the wicked would side with the murderous assassinators.

Add your answer, because the jews have never been part of the infrastructure of the city. They never built anything. All of it is non jews. The jews are just users. The non jews create many many evil things. And this I feel sorry for non jews about. Because the non jews do many many evil things. Which also destroys the jews.
