As someone who has learned about the Holocaust throughout school, and has cried watching Schindler's list, I would certainly like to hope not. But, I've discovered a lot of very unsettling things. Some of which made me feel ill. I physically felt nauseated after reading a few things. I went to my city's library so I could use a free archive. The first thing I found disturbing was even in 1940, Newspaper talked about 6,000,000 Jews being doomed to die if Nazis achieved final victory. The official holocaust story says the Nazis didn't start killing them to 1941.

But, I thought maybe it was just one weird coincidence that happened to be right. The disturbing thing, the 6 million figure is used even in 1900's. In 1906, the New York Times talked about Russians planning to exterminate 6,000,000 Jews, during the Russia polgrams.

There's been Jewish relief programs going on forever. By searching keywords I was able to find around 15 newspapers all saying the same thing. The most disturbing thing I found beyond everything else was this book published in Palestine.

NOTES ON DOCUMENTATION



No single wartime document



There is no single wartime document that contains the above cited estimates of Jewish deaths.



There are three obvious and interrelated reasons for the lack of a single document:



1) Compilation of comprehensive statistics of Jews killed by German and other Axis authorities began in 1942 and 1943. It broke down during the last year and a half of the war.



2) Beginning in 1943, as it became clear that they would lose the war, the Germans and their Axis partners destroyed much of the existing documentation. They also destroyed physical evidence of mass murder.



3) No personnel were available or inclined to count Jewish deaths until the very end of World War II and the Nazi regime. Hence, total estimates are calculated only after the end of the war and are based on demographic loss data and the documents of the perpetrators. Though fragmentary, these sources provide essential figures from which to make calculations.



One centrally directed statistical study of Jews killed by German authorities survived the war. A copy was among the records captured by the US Army in 1945. Likewise, several regional compilations of such gruesome data were among the records captured by US, British, and Soviet forces after World War II. The US, Great Britain, and the Soviet Union have used most of these documents at one time or another as exhibits in criminal or civil proceedings against Nazi offenders

There were 9 million Jews living in Europe before WWII. This included about 3 million in the Russian Empire. It was never thought that Hitler would drag the Russian Empire into a war, so that put up to 6 million Jews at risk. This is where the 6 million figure in the newspaper article comes from.



It's basically a tally of the populations in each nation and, given the efficiency with which the Nazis could kill, ended up being an accurate estimate. And a horrifying one when you think about adding up the number of Jewish people on a continental scale and *that* summation being the final death toll.

I cannot verify your newspaper quotes (cuttings), however if you were to take the number of countries upon which the Nazis had set their sights for invasion and occupation, while also bearing in mind the Nazi attitude towards the Jews, it would be possible estimate a possible threat to Jews living in those threatened countries. (There would also have been a number of differing estimates of the numbers of Jews under threat, but the Asker chose not to mention those, and he can also spare us his "crocodile" tears.)



The estimate of Jewish casualties resulting from the Holocaust was made by the Allies at the end of the war.



The reader may find it interesting that anti-Semites choose to question the Holocaust or question the Holocaust by disputing its Jewish casualty figures, yet they do not question for example, other likewise well-documented facts like the Second World War!

All anybody can do is try to get an estimate from how many the nazis transported to the camps (the jews had to pay for their own transport to the camps and the germans made good accountants, cos they had to pay the railways for the trains), how many people were missing from each country after the war, and german records the camps kept)



The best estimate is that at LEAST 6 million jews were murdered

I am kind of neutral on this one.



On the hand hand, you have very good points. The 6 million figure does seem like propaganda. And we all know Jews have a high social IQ- propaganda is naturally one of their specialties as a people.



However on the other hand, Germany DID exterminate many Jews. At least a million if not more. And extermination of a race is always wrong- whether they be white, black, Asian, Jew, Hispanic, etc.

Some scholars have estimated that the number was much lower, around 2 million I think at most, based on the jewish population, how many left and how many were shipped to concentration camps. Notice that some people get annoyed when you even question the number, and because it is illegal in some places to question it, that in itself raises questions about whether somebody is hiding the truth.

Stalin killed 60 million people but Hitler is vilified much more that he is.
