I may be flying to Israel later this year, but have heard that certain islamic middle Eastern countries would ban me from entering their country if i have my passport stamped by Israeli border control. Is this true, and if so, where would i be prohibited from entering?

It is true. Except for Egypt and Jordan you'll be prohibited from entering all Arab countries, Iran, and maybe some other Islamic countries.

However, if you're just visiting Israel this time and no other county, you can ask your passport not to be stamped, and you'll get a leaflet instead they you'll have to keep until you exit Israel.

This way you won't get any traces of your visit in your passport.

Not knowing where you are from, please be aware that you can only request the attached visa if you belong to the Nationals who can obtain a visa up on arrival.

In case you have to apply for a visa to enter Israel in advance, this is not possible and you have to get a new passport to enter any Arab country beside Jordan and Egypt.

I know for sure that Syria is one of those countries. When you go all you have to do is ask them to not stamp your passport and they will stamp a sheet of paper instead.

Turkey doesn't boycott us, In fact it used to be the most popular tourist place for us, the Israelis..

But now with all their fail propaganda's , it is morally not accepted to go there. Private road-commercial I saw said : "Do NOT go to Turkey." Truely appreciated!

Yes it's sad but true. All those arab countries openly display their hate and antisemitism.
